IV. Structural features
The 40.5 interval removable AC metal-enclosed switchgear belongs to the interval structure. It consists of a cabinet and a trolley made of steel and steel plate bending and welding. According to their uses, the trolleys can be divided into seven types: circuit breaker trolleys, lightning arrester trolleys, isolation trolleys, “Y” connection voltage transformer trolleys, “V” connection voltage transformer trolleys, single-phase voltage transformer trolleys and station transformer trolleys. Among them, the circuit breaker trolleys include ZN85-40.5 vacuum circuit breaker trolleys, ZN23-40.5 vacuum circuit breaker trolleys and SF6 circuit breaker trolleys.
The switchgear has the “five-protection” interlocking function of preventing the circuit breaker trolley from being pushed and pulled with load, preventing the circuit breaker from being opened or closed by mistake, preventing the circuit breaker from being closed when the grounding switch is in the closed position, preventing the circuit breaker from being mistakenly entered into the live compartment, and preventing the grounding switch from being mistakenly closed when it is live.
It can be equipped with excellent performance ZN85-40.5 fully insulated vacuum circuit breaker, screw nut transmission, overrunning clutch, with good arc extinguishing performance, easy operation, maintenance-free and other outstanding advantages.

Choose current transformers, voltage transformers, pillar insulators, SMC material insulation partitions and contact boxes with large creepage distance and excellent insulation performance to improve the insulation level of switchgear.

The transformer used can be a dry-type transformer, which has the advantages of oil-free, flame-retardant, economical operation and maintenance-free.

The switchgear is divided into several functional units according to its use, which are described as follows:

A. The shell of the switchgear has a protection level of lP2X, which can prevent objects with a diameter greater than 12 mm from approaching the live parts in the cabinet and touching the moving parts. In addition to metal hinges, the door of the high-voltage compartment is connected to the cabinet body with copper braided wire. There are inspection windows on the front and back shells of the switchgear to observe the operation of the equipment in the switchgear.
B. Trolley room

Open the two doors at the bottom of the front of the switchgear, and you will see the trolley room. This room is separated from the upper and lower contact rooms by an insulating partition, and is provided with a metal partition between the main busbar on the top of the cabinet. There is a trolley track at the bottom of the trolley room, and the trolley grounding device is located in the center of the two tracks. A heater specially set up to prevent condensation is also located on the right side of the room.

C. Main busbar and upper isolating contact room

The main busbar and upper isolating contact room are located on the upper part of the switchgear. The main busbars are arranged in a triangle on the upper inverted support insulators. Immediately below the main busbar is the upper isolating contact seat, which can be a current transformer with contacts, or a support insulator or a wall bushing with contacts, depending on the main wiring scheme.
D. Lower isolation contact chamber
The lower isolation contact chamber is located at the bottom of the upper isolation contact chamber, and there is a partition between the two. In addition to the installation of current transformers or support insulator contact seats, grounding switches or connecting busbars are also installed in this chamber.
E. Insulating partitions and insulating valves
Between the switchgear trolley chamber, the isolation contact chamber and the cable chamber, a partition made of insulating material SM(: is installed, and an SM(: insulating valve is installed on it. Both the partition and the insulating valve have a protection level of lP2X.
F. Grounding switch
As a variable element, the grounding switch can be selected according to the needs of the project. When the feeder circuit needs to be repaired, the circuit breaker retreats to the isolation position and closes the grounding switch to ensure safety.
G. Live display device
The live display device is a variable element. Its function is to intuitively reflect the live status of the high-voltage feeder line when the switchgear is not equipped with a voltage transformer. So that it can be determined in advance whether the feeder line is live before the grounding switch is closed.
H. Grounding conductor
The copper grounding conductor that runs across the entire width of the switchgear is installed at the lower rear of the switchgear. The connection between the two units can be installed with the connector prefabricated by the manufacturer and equipped with the equipment.
I. Installation of auxiliary circuit equipment
The upper front part of the switchgear is equipped with an instrument door and a relay room with a swing door structure for installing auxiliary circuit equipment. There are small busbar through holes and wire clamps for fixing control cables on both sides of the room, a small busbar terminal group on the left, and wiring troughs on the top and bottom. The instrument door and relay room are separated from the high-voltage compartment by a partition.
J. Terminal room
The terminal room is located on the right side of the front of the switchgear, and the auxiliary circuit terminal group is installed in the center of the room. The top is the lighting lamp and its switch in the cabinet; the bottom is equipped with M1 2 Grounding bolts are used for auxiliary circuit grounding: a wire clamp bracket is provided on the right side for users to fix the control cable.

K. Secondary plug (socket)

The connection line between the trolley and the switchgear is realized through the plug installed on the trolley and the socket installed on the switchgear. When the trolley is pushed to the “test position”, the plug should be plugged in. When the trolley withdraws from the “test position”, the plug should be unplugged.

L. Small busbar

The switchgear is equipped with 15 small busbar terminal groups, and the small busbars are all equipped with wires according to regulations by the user.

M. Condensation controller

In high-humidity areas or occasions with large temperature changes, condensation may occur when the switchgear is out of operation. A condensation controller is installed in the switchgear to increase the temperature so that the water vapor in the air cannot condense.

N. Auxiliary circuit control cable channel

The auxiliary circuit control cable channel of the switchgear (acting as a secondary cable trench) is located above the relay room. The control cable is introduced from the cable trench on the left or right side of the switch cabinet.

It is introduced into the channel through the bottom of the left small door of the switchgear or the bottom of the terminal room. This channel runs through each switchgear.

O. Cabinet lighting

The switchgear trolley room is equipped with a 22V, 100W lighting lamp. The lamp and switch are installed above the terminal room. The door of the terminal room must be opened to operate the light switch or replace the bulb.
