    The American box-type substation places the transformer core and winding together with high-voltage load switches, fuses and other equipment in a sealed box, with transformer oil as the insulating medium. This combined transformer is small in size, simple in structure, easy to install and flexible in operation. It can be used both outdoors and indoors. It is widely used in various public places such as urban power grid transformation, residential areas, factories, mines, hotels, airports, railways, docks and highways, etc., as a distribution system for receiving and distributing electric energy.
    This product complies with the standards of GB/T17467-2010 “High-voltage/Low-voltage Prefabricated Substation” and DL/T537-93 “6-35KV Box-type Substation Ordering Technical Conditions”.

IV. Structural features

High voltage wiring can be used for both ring network and terminal, flexible power supply mode and high reliability;

Transformer has excellent performance: low loss, low noise, low temperature rise; strong overload capacity, short circuit resistance and strong impact resistance;

Meet various low voltage feed requirements, can be selected according to the scheme, or designed by yourself;

Cable head has two types: 200A “elbow” type cable connector and 600A “T” connector. The “elbow” type cable connector is suitable for cables with a cross-sectional area of ​​35-185mm2, and the “T” type connector is suitable for cables with a cross-sectional area of ​​35-500mm2. The cable head is made of copper core and aluminum core, both of which can be equipped with fully insulated zinc oxide arresters. The 200A “elbow” type cable head can be plugged in and out with load, and can also play the role of an isolating switch.
The box transformer adopts a split-box structure:

The transformer body and high-voltage load switch, plug-in fuse and backup current-limiting fuse and other high-voltage components are placed in sealed oil tanks respectively. The two boxes are arranged horizontally on the left and right and completely separated by partitions. There are insulating wall bushings on the partitions for wiring the transformer and the load switch, which can be easily replaced without affecting the use of the other box.

Advantages of the two boxes arranged on the left and right:

  1. The two boxes do not affect each other:
  • Prevents the upper oil from flowing into the bottom oil tank due to leakage of the partition, causing the upper oil tank to be short of oil (lack of oil or no oil causes the load switch to arc during operation, which is dangerous to equipment and personnel);
  • Another advantage is that the left and right layout is convenient for maintenance. When the transformer room and the load switch room are overhauled, the two boxes do not affect each other, which is convenient and fast (for example, the upper oil tank must be completely removed before the transformer can be opened when the transformer is overhauled in the upper and lower layouts, which is extremely inconvenient).
  1. The split-box structure solves the problem of pollution of transformer oil by load switch operation and fuse blowing.
